It’s one of the most common movement disorders in the world. A progressive condition, it starts with uncontrollable movement of the hands and can eventually spread to the voice (Katharine Hepburn’s voice had a very bad tremor), then the head, and finally to the legs.
Thirteen percent of Americans (about 38 million people) suffer from migraine, and every one of them has a different experience with the condition. Treatment has to be as individualized as they are. Unfortunately, that isn’t what isn’t offered now, though it is where the science wants to go.
